The Northern Area Mental Health Service is an integrated network of mental health services providing psychiatric services to residents in the Cities of Darebin and Whittlesea. Services include Acute In-patient Unit, Emergency Mental Health Service, Continuing Care Teams, Community Care Units and PARC.

 

A job to be proud of

 

As our senior psychologist, you will be responsible for

  • delivery of psychological services to consumers Northern Psychiatric Inpatient Unit
  • provision of specialist psychological assessments
  • where appropriate - brief interventions to inpatient consumers.
  • providing supervision and support to the NPU Psychologist Grade 2.

You will work collaboratively with families, carers and community partners, and provide guidance on outpatient treatment for patients discharged from NPU for community clinicians inside and outside of NAMHS.

 

The role also includes engagement in the Inpatient activity program, consultation to the clinical team, and liaison and consultation to other agencies and service providers where appropriate.
