Fractional Radiologist - North Western BreastScreen

North Western BreastScreen is part of  Melbourne Health with direct links to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Women’s Hospital breast service. Screening approximately 45,000 women per year and providing assessment and biopsy services at RMH Royal Park campus.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our North Western BreastScreen team. This is a (Part Time, Fixed Term) position, working 6 hours per fortnight.  Key aspects of this role include:

Position Summary

Provision of radiological breast investigations and reporting under supervision of BreastScreen radiologists.

Key Accountabilities: 

1. Perform investigations of suspicious breast changes and dictate reports on same in consultation with the radiologist.
2. Liaise with and advise medical technologists. 
3. Consult with clinicians about the results of radiological investigations and giving advice on optimum methods of investigation of individual patients.
4. Attendance at clinic-radiology conferences under supervision.
5. Teaching undergraduate medical students and other groups.
6. Participate in regular QA activities and audit.
7. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team in the care of women at assessment clinic.
8. Aim to attain national BreastScreen performance benchmarks.
