  • Registered Nurse  Grade 2, Monday  - Friday  (10 hour shifts)
  • After hours on call required once endoscopy trained

3 West Day Procedure Unit, Royal Melbourne Hospital in Parkville is seeking experienced Perioperavtive nurses.  The unit provides complex care through many specialties including interventional and diagnostic endoscopy, surgical procedures (plastics, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, orthopedics, general surgery), anaesthetic and recovery. Our team is supportive, and encourage professional development to ensure high quality standards of patient care.

 

The Opportunity:

  • Provide high-quality standards of patient care. This includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary health care team to achieve the desired patient outcomes
  • Accept accountability for own actions and seek guidance if situations exceed the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse 

About You:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing And Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
  • Demonstrated provision of high-quality patient care
  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills
  • High motivation and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of reliability and professional conduct
  • Minimum 3 years acute post registration experience
