  • Based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital with the Quality and Innovation Team

Your new team

  • Become a part of the Quality, Planning and Innovation (QPI) team at NorthWestern Mental Health.
  • This position is well supported by the Director Clinical Governance, the Carer Advisor at the rest of the QPI team.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provision of leadership to the consumer workforce including establishing the appropriate supports and workforce development opportunities for the consumer workforce
  • Lead the organisation by advising and consulting about consumer experience at the highest level of governance across the organisation.
  • The implementation and evaluation of the workforce development and support strategy which focuses on the structure of the workforce and providing the appropriate level of supervision, professional development and support.
  • Supporting the implementation of the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Mental Health Services interim report.
  • Dissemination and support for the recommendations that will be made in the final report (due Feb 2021)
Your Contribution
  • A personal lived experience of accessing mental health services
  • Demonstrated experience in working from a consumer perspective (Experience working in a consumer consultant or peer support role within an area mental health service would be highly regarded).
  • Highly developed skills in communication, building effective partnerships, workforce development, training and working within a large, complex organisation
