Entry Level Occupational Therapist

  • Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight
  • North West Community Care Units (CCU)
  • 2 year fixed term position

The North West Community Care Units provide 24 hour community based residential care to people who experience long term serious mental illness and disability within a Recovery framework. Residents require high levels of clinical support and intensive rehabilitation. We are seeking a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Entry level Program.

  • Work closely with the team in facilitating and evaluating the group program
  • Establish strong partnerships
  • Support the leadership group in continuous improvement.
  • Be supported in clinical supervision and attend our Entry level Program seminars.
  • There may be scope to work collaboratively with our Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC) to support an integrated model of care and other community partners.

Your Contribution

  • Approved degree from a recognised School of Occupational Therapy and eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Theoretical knowledge of Occupational Therapy clinical interventions in mental health
  • Working knowledge of and commitment to the recovery framework
  • Ability to provide OT and mental health assessment and treatment.

Essential: 3.Are you currently eligible to work in Australia? e.g. Australian Birth Certificate or passport with working visa, permanent residency?
