Team Leader - MWAMHS, Melton Community Mental Health


  • Registered Nurse, Mental Health | Social Worker | Occupational Therapist | Clinical Psychologist | RPN4 | AH3 equivalent, Full Time position. 
  • Great opportunity to step up into a leadership role within Community Mental Health
  • Located at Melton Health Community Services centre and co-located with Community Health, Family services and Drug and Alcohol clinicians
  • Onsite Security / Free parking (40 min from CBD)

Your new team

  • We are a diverse multi-disciplinary team welcoming and supportive of new staff
  • We enjoy a collaborative working environment working alongside Community Health, Family Services and Drug and Alcohol workers at a purpose built health centre
  • You will help us achieve the delivery of innovative and recovery orientated mental health care to those living in one of the fastest growing growth corridors in the state


Your success in this role, will be in your ability to


  • Lead with kindness, role modelling open communication and a desire to support and enhance clinical care across the team
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of Intake systems and processes for screening and triaging of referrals from primary care providers and other mental health programs.
  • As part of the Intake process identify needs for service, coordination of care pathways and maintenance of key community partnerships and linkages
  • Contribute to innovative service planning and development

Your Contribution


  • Strong commitment to consumer-focused service delivery
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for people with a mental illness
  • Extensive experience in assessment/treatment of people with mental illness / psychiatric disability
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High level awareness of legislation governing mental health practice
  • Active participation in your own practice development by engaging in available learning opportunities within the service, as well as being committed to sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
