Your Opportunity:


The P.A.R.T.Y Program is an injury prevention program for adolescents between the ages of 15-25years. The program’s focus is on choice, risk and consequence and gives participants the opportunity to follow the journey of a trauma patient whilst at the Royal Melbourne Hospital which is one of Australia’s busiest trauma hospitals.


The P.A.R.T.Y Coordinator plays an integral role in conducting this important injury prevention program and will be responsible for the administrative tasks and coordination of all facets of the program.


  • Act as the primary contact between the Royal Melbourne Hospital Trauma Service and the Community
  • Responsible for cost effective facilitation of our Injury Prevention Program
  • Conduct schools, apprentice and the young offenders P.A.R.T.Y programs
  • Liaise  with staff across various external organisations and internal departments, families and patients and volunteers

About You:

  • Dynamic communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience in presenting and coordinating courses is essential
  • Demonstrated passion for working with young people
  • Interest in education along with trauma nursing experience will be an advantage
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access) is essential
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA

The role requires work days to be Wednesday and Thursday with hours between 8am - 4.30pm.

Selection Criteria Essential: Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Essential: Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
Essential: High motivation and willingness to learn
Essential: Demonstrated experience in presenting and coordinating courses
Essential: The highest level of professionalism and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues related to staff and visitors
Desirable: Experience with quality improvement and performance monitoring skills
Desirable: Experience in working with adolescents
