The Personal Assistant supports the Divisional Director of Medicine and Community Care (MCC) / Professor of General Medicine and Aged Care. Ideally, you will have experience working in the health / academic research and/or tertiary sector. 

 

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Supporting the Director in project development and management that reviews and advances the services of the division.
  • Liaising and co-ordinating with international and national agencies.
  • Providing administrative support to a research team.
  • Email management and preparation of documentation and correspondence.
  • Typing of minutes and agendas and arranging meetings.
  • Incoming and outgoing phone calls.
  • Extensive calendar and diary management.
  • Organising national and international travel and conference bookings.
  • Assisting with covering administration leave cover.

The successful candidate will possess:

 

  • Significant experience in a high level EA /Personal Assistant role establishing and formalizing administrative process
  • The demonstrated ability to work within a highly confidential environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to work co- operatively, and relate/interact effectively at all levels internally and externally to the organisation.
  • The ability to work within a complex organisational structure, proof reading, multitasking and managing discrete projects.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook), Graphic applications and Access is desirable as well as experience in Zoom.
  • Previous experience working in the health, academic research or tertiary sector an advantage.
