  • Bed Manager - The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Parkville
  • Part Time position - 60 hours per fortnight

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.


We are looking for passionate and dedicated individual to join our Access and Demand team as a Bed Manager. This is a Part Time position, working 60 hours per fortnight based at The Royal Melbourne - City Campus.


Your Opportunity:

  • Ensure that systems and process are in place to ensure the safe delivery of timely patient care
  • Allocation of beds
  • Coordinating patient flow
  • Assessing critical situations
  • Initiating solutions
  • Providing leadership and support

About You:

  • Registered Nurse
  • 4 years acute graduate experience, ideally with clinical expertise working as an ANUM or NUM
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Exceptional communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing demands
