           Research Ethics Coordinator

  • Responsible for ensuring effective & streamlined Ethics submissions
  • Multiple Sclerosis & Neuroimmunology Research Unit
  • Casual hours with the potential to move to part time


The RMH MS program offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services at the RMH City Campus, where transport and interpreter services are available.

Referral to relevant service providers such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, neuro-psychiatrists and geriatricians are included in the assessment and treatment services.

The Department is dedicated to clinically relevant research related to MS including research involving use of new therapies and technology, and the monitoring of responses of patients to treatment over prolonged periods.


Your new role:

  • Ethics and research governance submissions as part of the Multiple Sclerosis research team, and receipt of approvals/acknowledgements for all clinical research projects conducted across the unit.
  • Working closely and effectively with Royal Melbourne Hospital Departments and other applicable vendors, to ensure optimal workflow.
  • Prepare ongoing amendment and essential documents processing as well as general ethics related correspondence in liaison with Investigators and Sponsors.

About you:

  • Knowledge and experience in ethics and research governance submissions, receipt and optimal electronic repository of approvals/acknowledgements for clinical research projects.
  • Proven ability to work independently and part of a team, adhering to tight deadlines, working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationship with internal and external parties.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, including punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail. Including high level of efficiency whilst maintaining accuracy.
