The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Engineering team. This is a Full Time position, working 76 hours per fortnight, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus, working across multiple sites.
Your Opportunity:
- Conduct general maintenance inspections, routine electrical maintenance, respond to faults and wiring issues, and install major electrical appliances
- Support and maintain electrical infrastructure, including back up power infrastructure
- Support electrical preventative maintenance and coordination of disruptive works
- Review, investigate and respond to electrical incidents
- Participation in 24/7 call out and recall service on a rostered basis
About You:
- A Grade electrical license
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of all building services and systems
- Knowledge of MS office suite
- A current, valid driver’s license
- Available to assist in on-call / recall role / overtime
- Working knowledge of the computerised maintenance system and ability to timely create, modify and complete work order details and maintain asset histories. (Highly regarded but is not essential)
