Dual Diagnosis Peer Support Worker


  • Join us a Peer Worker Level 2 – Part Time Ongoing 12 hours per week situated in Pascoe Vale
  • Contribute to a unique initiative - Substance Use and Mental Illness Treatment Team (SUMITT)
  • Make a difference and enhance your skills in dual diagnosis interventions 

 

SUMITT, (Substance Use and Mental Illness Treatment Team), is a specialist program of NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH), providing high quality services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. We provide evidence based accessible and integrated treatment and care to these individuals and their carers. We are a caring, supportive, driven multi-disciplinary team who will welcome you and value your contributions as a Senior Dual Diagnosis Clinician.

 

About your new role:

  • Engage with consumers
  • Provide advice and support about dual diagnosis to consumers
  • Build the capacity of key stakeholder staff on dual diagnosis related matters
  • Develop and deliver training to staff of the services
  • Maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

About You:

  • Be appropriately qualified and experienced
  • Demonstrated ability to support the development of clinical staff
  • Well-developed skills in writing and an ability to prepare relevant documentation
