The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Palliative Care team. This is a Full Time Fixed Term position, working up to 80 hours per fortnight.

Your Opportunity:

Applications are invited for suitably qualified nurses to undertake a project to harmonise care for palliative care patients from hospital to home settings, and harmonise workforce factors across the Parkville Precinct Hospitals and into the Community Palliative Care setting.

  • Establish a workforce model that supports the integrated palliative care unit and service across the Parkville precinct hospitals
  • Establish a workforce model that supports more integrated care across hospital to home settings with community palliative care
  • Establish seamless care protocols and procedures across the integrated palliative care service
  • Develop shared care protocols and procedures across hospital and home-based community palliative care services

About You:

  • Current Nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Extensive experience in palliative care clinical service delivery in community, hospital and hospice settings
  • Leader in the field of palliative care nursing
