• Based at the new Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre
• Full-Time, 76 hours per fortnight (6 months fixed-term)


The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Clinical Haematology team. This is a (Full-Time, Fixed Term) position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

 

Your Opportunity:

• conduct a gap analysis to identify the quantum of work that might be necessary to meet required standards for successful application to the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy
• will work closely with all members of the Clinical Haematology team in particular Senior Medical Staff, Nurse Consultants, Donor Co-ordinators, Ward Nursing Staff, Apheresis Staff and Laboratory involved with the delivery of cellular therapies
• The role represents a career enhancing opportunity to be involved in this rapidly evolving therapeutic area in cancer care

About You:

Qualification: Laboratory Scientist qualification recognised in Australia

Key Selection Criteria 

  • Experience in haematology and cellular therapies
  • Significant experience in laboratory practice and quality management of stem cell transplantation and/or similar interests
  • significant knowledge and experience in quality management of stem cell transplantation and/or similar interests
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Well-developed report writing skills
