- Nurse Unit Manager. 7 West Day Medical

About the Us:
An exciting opportunity exists at The Royal Melbourne Hospital for an innovative and enthusiastic nurse leader to join us in the role of Nurse Unit Manager, 7 West Day Medical. 7 West Day medical is a busy day ward providing a wide range of day medical services to patients under the care of specialty medical units including Rheumatology, Immunology, and Gastroenterology.
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Nurse Unit Manager to lead the ward through an exciting period of growth and service. This position comes with the expectation of clinical expertise and the provision of direct patient care. You will be an effective leader and manager of staff and resources and will actively participate and assist in the development and implementation of key strategic programs such as the accreditation process and quality improvement. You will be responsible for facilitating the development of clinical and administration skills in all staff and leading growth of the service. Previous Day Medical or Day Oncology experience will be viewed favourably.
In addition to this you will have the following:
• Ability to mentor and support to staff as required
• Knowledge of relevant legislation policies and human resource procedures
• Well developed computer and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
