The Forensic Clinical Specialist role within a Department of Health (DoH) support initiative to improve the capacity of the specialist mental health workforce to optimally manage the behaviours and risk associated with consumers with risk of offending or re-offending.  The position will have a key role in inter-service liaison between Adult Area Mental Health Services (including local MHCSS) and the corrections system, courts, prison and Forensicare services. The position will also support the maintenance and continued development of optimal clinical pathways and enhance the relationships between services, including the provision of advice to intake clinicians in relation to referral and assessment pathways.
