We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Melbourne Health Shared Pathology Service team. This is a Part Time, Fixed Term position, working 56 hours per fortnight, based at RMH – City Campus.

 

Your Opportunity:

 

An exciting opportunity exists for Registered Nurses to join our Melbourne Health Shared Pathology Service based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital - City Campus.

 

In conjunction with a team of phlebotomists, this position will involve the collection of pathology specimens from outpatients in particular patients from the renal transplant clinic.

 

About You:

 

We would like to hear from candidates who have: 

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical skills with the desire to learn new skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with other staff, patients and families
  • Demonstrated organisational skills
  • A willingness to contribute to quality patient care
  • Experience in venepuncture and have been trained in the care and collection of specimens from fistulas and central venous access devices
