Our multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 employees, provide services across four Adult Mental Health Areas, an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – Orygen. NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health.


About the Opportunity:

VFTAC is a newly created program for the identification, assessment and service planning for individuals believed to be at high risk of targeted acts of aggression. NWMH and Monash Health have been funded to provide direct clinical and support services to those identified by the VFTAC, and to support other AMHSs to manage these clients when appropriate.


The Administration Assistant will contribute to the cohesive and efficient running of the NWMH VFTAC Mental Health/Justice Interface Program.

The incumbent is also responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Program Manager, medical and clinical staff as necessary. While based at 362 Bell Street Pascoe Vale, there is an expectation that the successful applicant will also provide administrative support for other NWAMHS programs as directed.

  • Compile relevant reports as directed by Program Manager.
  • Collate and update area based resources and information
  • Assist in the development of staff rosters & payroll interface
  • Order stationary and office related items
  • Maintain records and the issue of swipe cards/access
  • Provide database training in conjunction with clinical staff
  • Ensure Triage Manual is updated regularly to reflect current practice
  • Ensure IT systems are operational and meet requirements
  • Coordinate and minute meetings as directed by the Program Manager.
  • Maintain and update equipment and asset register.
  • Undertake OH&S audits as directed by the Program Manager
  • Assist in the preparation of & participate in Planning Day activities
