You will contribute to this via the leadership and support of MWAMHS Social workers.

The Chief Social Worker MWAMHS is part of the leadership team within MWAMHS which works to develop processes within the Area, especially those related to quality, service standards, program and service development.


Also, along with the SW Advisor, other Program/Area SW Chiefs, SW ELP Lead and Clinical Educator form the Senior SW Leadership team across NWMH. Together this team works together to promote social work values and practice areas as well as setting the agenda for social work focus across NWMH.

 

Your Contribution:

We are looking for a vibrant social worker with both extensive clinical mental health experience and a commitment to leading social work workforce. You will provide professional leadership and guidance of the social work workforce, support the development of evidence-based interventions, and work towards a highly skilled and consumer/carer recovery oriented mental health service.

Selection Criteria Desirable: 5 years experience in public mental health services or equivalent
Desirable: Experience with the supervision of social workers
Desirable: Current driver's licence and capacity to drive as part of this role
