We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Instrument Technician team. This is a Full Time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus.

Your Opportunity:

  • Plan, accept and track, cleaning and sterilising of reusable critical and semi-critical medical loan equipment used by the operating suite and clinical units
  • Track equipment, check in all items to dedicated patients, decontamination, packing, sterilising, create picks, to theatre usage, return to decontamination, sterilisation, check out and return
  • Maintain national standards at all time including the coordination of loan instruments, trays, equipment required to be utilised at The Royal Melbourne Hospital

About You:

  • Certificate IV in sterilisation 
  • Experienced Instrument Technician
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in CSSD including loans room experience
  • Demonstrate strong thought processes with relation to the loans process within the hospital setting
  • Competent in processing to ensure best patient outcomes
