The Connecting Care Program and Parkville Electronic Medical Record (EMR):

The Connecting Care EMR Program is a digital partnership between Melbourne Health (MH), The Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH), Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) and the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) to transform patient care and research in the Parkville precinct.

Connecting Care will expand the cutting-edge RCH Epic EMR to operate across the four health services, creating one powerful shared clinical and research system and setting a new benchmark for EMR technology in Australia.


The Opportunity:

As the Melbourne Health EMR Change Lead / Project Officer you will be responsible for implementing and evaluating local change activities and providing EMR program support at Melbourne Health. The Melbourne Health Change Lead/Project Officer will:

  • Work with the Melbourne Health EMR team and Connecting Care Program Change Manager to design and deliver the Connecting Care Program change strategy;
  • Implement and evaluate activities associated with the Connecting Care program change management strategy in alignment with Melbourne Health’s strategic direction;
  • Identify change risks and develop associated mitigation plans;
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on change management strategies;
  • Provide administrative and project support for Melbourne Health.

Requirements for the role:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Clinical experience or Project Management experience;
  • A tertiary degree with Clinical qualifications and/or Change Management or Project Management qualifications;
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, motivate, influence and co-ordinate a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic program change;
  • Demonstrated experience in utilising methodologies to plan and deliver complex change programs;
  • Experience in the implementation of an EMR or eHealth system is desirable.
