A Trainee Perfusionist is sought engage in training to manage Cardiopulmonary Bypass for adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery for acquired disease and revision of congenital corrections. You will also gain the skills necessary to provide support using therapies such as Extracorporeal Life Support, Ventricular Assist and Intra-Aortic Balloon Counterpulsation together with Autologous Blood Salvage.
The incumbent will study toward the Diploma of Perfusion through the Australasian Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion to ultimately attain certification.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or equivalent discipline. Studies in health sciences would be desirable.
