The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

 

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation team. This is a Full Time  Fixed Term position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at Jane Bell House, Wreckyn Street, North Melbourne.

 

Your Opportunity:

  • Assist with the planning, management and streamlining of administrative procedures/systems
  • Coordinate the smooth and adequate flow of information within the Foundation to facilitate other business operations
  • Assist with Cashier Activities including all donated monies are entered into Raiser’s Edge daily, ensure correct banking deposits. Assist in various daily accounting duties, manage all Volunteer and merchandise cost centres, petty cash, cab vouchers
  • Reimburse foundation petty cash from Accounts Payable – when running low
  • Coordinate donated money from donation box on a daily basis
  • Coordinate hospital lost property & selling items to forward proceeds as donations
  • Assist with follow up and regular giving phone calls for declined transactions
  • Produce welcome letters (terms & conditions) & welcome packs for

About You: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge in cash handling, administration duties
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to challenges, work effectively in a small, driven and busy team environment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure
  • Excellent skills in a variety of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

        Desirable:

  • Strong mathematical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player including the ability to maintain effective working relationships within a cross cultural environment
