We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Pathology Collection team. This is a Part Time  Fixed term position, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

 

Your Opportunity:


To provide phlebotomy services to the patients of The Royal Melbourne Hospital. The Pathology Collector will rotate between all areas of collection services, as rostered. They may be required from time to time to participate in rostered work in reception and provide pathology service at one or all locations where Melbourne Health Pathology Collection operates.

 

About You:

  • Qualified Pathology Collector with a Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection
  • Effective and accurate written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Manage risk and actively work toward implementing risk reduction strategies.
  • 7 day rotating roster various hours (days and evenings)
  • Demonstrated ability to follow Policy and Procedure
  • Desirable: 1 - 2 years Phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting.
  • Care environment
