Chief Occupational Therapist – Grade 2 (.5 part time)

North West Area Mental Health Service

 

The North West Area Mental Health Service, is a diverse, multi-site organisation with strong community, research, academic and family and consumer partnerships.


We are looking for a dynamic senior clinical leader, a strategic thinker, who will join our leadership team paving the way for future development of not only occupational therapists, but also other staff and the service itself.


This is a part time ongoing position, 40 hours per fortnight based at Coburg, with travel to sites at Broadmeadows and other NWMH sites as needed.


In this role, you will play a key role in leading & coordinating the Occupational Therapy Workforce, be an active Executive member on key governance committees, be part of service development, research, projects and provide; supervision, support and direction to key clinicians.


This role supports network wide occupational therapy practise areas such as sensory modulation, vocation, driving and group work, with the incumbent expected to support practise change within these areas.

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Record Check and a Working with Children Check. Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of an immunisation assessment prior to commencement.

Selection Criteria Essential: An approved Degree from a recognised school of Occupational Therapy or other qualifications approved for eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapy.
