North West Area Mental Health Service – Melbourne, Victoria (0.8 EFT) until September 2017

 

SW 2, North West Area Mental Health Service – Hume Community Team - Wellness and Recovery


This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in an innovative service improvement initiative.  This is for a clinician who thinks outside the square and brings their compassion into every interaction. The person we seek believes Wellness and Recovery is possible for every person and demonstrates that they have unique and valuable skills that contribute to the clinical care provided to people as they recover from their mental illness.

 

The successful applicant will:


Provide a range of clinical interventions as part of a community team;

 Be flexible in context to a changing environment;

Work with colleagues to develop a programmed response to psych education;

Contribute to the social work team at NWAMHS.

 

Applicants must be eligible for AASW membership and have at least 2 years experience in clinical mental health practice

NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH) provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne. A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (North West, Mid West, Inner West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – ORYGEN Youth Health. NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health.


Successful Applicants:


Successful applicants must provide either a certified copy of a current Working with Children Check Card or evidence of having made an application for a WWC Check Card upon commencement.


All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory police records check.


Successful applicants will also be required to provide a record of Immune Status to vaccine preventable diseases or evidence of an immunisation assessment prior to commencement.
