The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Social Work team. This is a Full Time Fixed Term position, working 80 hours per fortnight.  This is a rotational position across multiple acute and subacute clinical areas.

 

Your Opportunity:

The Social Work Department has a well-established supervision program and supports ongoing professional development for all staff.  As a Grade 1 Social Worker, through your clinical expertise you will have a leading role in ensuring excellence in patient care, implementation and organisation of clinical and professional teams and foster staff development.

  • Provide quality care to clients through competent clinical skills
  • Work across a range of clinical areas of the Royal Melbourne Hospital
  • Provide comprehensive assessment to enable a targeted intervention plan

About You:

  • Social Work qualifications
  • Eligible for Australian Association of Social Workers registration
  • Sound communication skills
  • Experience of effective working relationships within interdisciplinary teams
