  • Based at Royal Park campus
  • Part Time, Fixed Term Position – until March 2020

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Aged Care Team based at the Royal Park Campus of Royal Melbourne Hospital in Parkville. We are looking for a senior clinician who can continue to develop and advance the physiotherapist service in this area through quality activities and research.

Your Opportunity:

This role would also involve supervision and development of the physiotherapy staff within your team and the provision of clinical teaching to tertiary students. You would work closely with both the General Medicine Physiotherapy team at the City Campus and the Aged Care team at the Royal Park Campus to ensure a physiotherapy service that delivers excellence in patient care, clinical supervision and student teaching. 

About You:

  • The successful candidate will be involved in the provision of the physiotherapy service, supervision and education of grade 2 and junior physiotherapists and will be a member of our supportive team of Senior Clinicians.
  • This clinician will be expected to contribute to the strong research portfolio within the team. In addition, a unique opportunity exists to provide leadership, advocacy and support to physiotherapy, and more widely to allied health across general medicine.
  • Experience in aged care physiotherapy patient management is essential for this role in addition to demonstrated skills in service development, participation in research or higher degree and a strong ability to develop relationships with relevant stakeholders and team members from allied health, nursing and medical team.
