The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Pastoral Care team. This is a Casual position.

Your Opportunity:

  • Provide and coordinate quality care to clients through competent pastoral skills, which address spiritual and faith needs through pastoral conversation and through ritual as appropriate.
  • Care of patients in a variety of care centres, including aged, palliative care and oncology, and their carers.
  • Engagement and liaison with external faith providers as required.

About You:

  • Advanced Certificate Clinical Pastoral Education (or equivalent)
  • Active spiritual practice
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Multi-faith and multicultural sensitivity
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Membership of Spiritual Care Australia (or eligibility)
