About the Role:


The Cardiac Care Nurse Manager is a pivotal leadership and management position within Melbourne Health.  This position provides visible and accessible clinical leadership by working alongside other members of the Cardiology Team and with patients in a supervisory capacity to ensure the delivery of safe person-centered care.

 

The Cardiac Care Nurse Manager in partnership with Nurse Unit Managers set the clinical standards to achieve high quality nursing care, foster and maintains a working environment that is conducive with the MH values and provides professional development and job satisfaction for staff.

Essential Requirements for the Role:

  • Registered Nurse, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Post graduate qualification in Cardiac Care Previous experience in a health management or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a team that are motivated and committed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at both a clinical and executive level
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, resourceful and adaptive to change
  • Ability to think strategically and deal with complex problems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of professional standards, legal and ethical requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and person centred care
  • High level of reliability and professional conduct
  • Desirable to have proficient computer literacy including Windows Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Financial Management knowledge and skills
  • Desirable to have post graduate in Management or working toward the same

Selection Criteria Essential: Must have post cardiac or critical care post graduate certificate or equivalent.
Essential: Must have minimum 3 years recent managerial experience.
