  • Exceptional Administrator to join our team at North West Area Mental Health Service
  • Full Time ongoing position, working 80 hours per fortnight including a monthly ADO
  • Based at the Broadmeadows Inpatient Unit

Life with Us: 

  • The Broadmeadows Inpatient Unit is located on the Broadmeadows Health Services site. 
  • We are a 25 bed acute adult mental health unit that provides a 24-hour, 7-day/week intensive quality mental health services to adults experiencing serious mental illness requiring assessment, treatment during their acute phase of care. 
  • The team utilises a bio-psychosocial service delivery framework in providing services in collaboration with clients, carers, and other clinical and support services. 
  • Specialty profession specific services are also provided.

A Job to Be Proud Of: 

  • The role is offered on a Full Time ongoing basis, working 80 hours per fortnight including a monthly ADO.
  • Contribute to the North West Area Mental Health Service and Inpatient Unit teams by carrying out administrative tasks and duties efficiently and effectively across the team. 
  • Tasks include, but are not limited to, data entry, records maintenance, receptionist, Mental Health Tribunal (MHT) hearing coordination and general administration.

Your Contribution: 

  • Possess well developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate appropriately and professionally with consumers, staff and management of the service
  • Demonstrated experience with telephone reception or switchboard and ability to provide a broad range of administrative and intermediate level keyboard support functions including word processing and database entry
  • Ability to resolve issues and day to day problems and be able to determine when escalation of an issue is required
  • Relevant experience, preferably in a mental health service or hospital/health setting
  • Desirable; Experience using the Victorian mental health state wide information system(CMI/ODS), experience using iPM or equivalent patient administration system, ability to speak a second language relevant to the local community,current Drivers Licence
