Physiotherapist Vestibular Rehabilitation and Falls & Balance

  • Part Time 56 hours per fortnight

The Sub Acute Ambulatory Care Services (SACS) encompasses the Community Therapy Service (CTS) and the Specialist SACS Clinics. The role of the Physiotherapist FAB and Vestibular Coordinator is to coordinate the weekly SACS Multidisciplinary Falls and Balance Clinic and the CTS Vestibular Service.

 

Your new role:

  • Deliver excellent patient care in your role in the Falls and Balance Clinic and Vestibular Rehabilitation Service
  • Work with the Direct Access Unit to triage referrals and identify alternative community programs to facilitate patient flow as required
  • Monitor and manage activity within the services to ensure it meets its funding requirements and supports patient flow
  • Build capability in managing vestibular conditions by educating, supporting skill development in fellow SACS clinicians, Medical and other Allied Health clinicians

About you:

  • You are an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist with extensive experience and understanding of assessment and management of patients experiencing falls, imbalance/unsteadiness and vertigo/dizziness from acute to chronic onset of these conditions/symptoms
  • You are looking to continue to develop your falls & vestibular knowledge, increase the network of health professionals in this field world leaders of neurological disorder treatment and research.
  • You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
