NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH) provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne. A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,900 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (Inner West, Mid West, North West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – Orygen Youth Health. NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health.
Reporting to the Manager, Reform & Innovation, the Manager, Quality will join a team of committed individuals promoting a culture in NWMH of continuous service improvement and innovation. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, the role will promote a positive organisational culture by providing leadership and advice factors that influence effectiveness and quality and safety issues. As a member of the NWMH Executive Support Unit, the appointee will also be expected to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with strategic partners and represent NWMH and MH in appropriate forums.
The person we seek will have relevant qualifications in health or management with experience in areas such as quality improvement and innovation, clinical governance and business planning along with operational management of a team. The successful applicant will have experience in change management and excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with a strong focus on the continuous improvement of Mental Health Services.
