The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

 

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Patient Experience team as a Consumer Liaison Officer (CLO). This is a Part Time position, working 40 hours per fortnight, based at the City Campus.

 

Your Opportunity:

 

The Consumer Liaison Officer (CLO) is a key member of the Patient Experience team, aiming for excellence in eliciting and responding to consumer feedback (including complaints, suggestions and compliments). 

 

The CLO works directly with consumers, acknowledging and clarifying feedback, and ensuring that consumer concerns are addressed and satisfactorily responded to at an individual level.

 

This is an important role within our broader Patient Experience program, assisting and coaching staff to reflect on consumer perspectives, and to make meaningful improvements to our services. The identification of, and response to, data trends is an important part of the CLO role. 

 

Specific days / hours negotiable, with a preference for Friday to be included.

 

About You:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent personal presentation skills, including reflective learning ability
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, with a clear patient focus 
  • Demonstrated negotiation, conflict management and conciliation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Dynamic and innovative approach to problem-solving
