The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Environmental Services team. This is a Full Time Fixed Term position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus. Your Opportunity:
- Interact with staff, patients, relatives and colleagues
- Ensuring a clean environment is maintained (patient rooms and common areas)
- Disposal of all general and clinical waste
- Liaising with team leaders and ward staff
About You:
- Certificate 3 in Health Patient Services, a PSA, PCA certificate or equivalent Certificate 3 in Health
- Excellent customer service skills, time management skills and the ability to successfully work in a team environment
- Ability to safely use cleaning supplies & equipment
- Participate in a roster and work in an allocated area and other areas as requested
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Previous experience in Hospital cleaning procedure is advantageous.
