  • Therapist working with Children and Adolescents (80%) and Adults (20%) 
  • North West Area Mental Health Service, Hume Community Team - Wellness and Recovery  
  • Part Time Fixed Term (Parental leave backfill) - 28 hours per week

This role is suitable for an experienced allied health clinician who thinks outside the square and brings their compassion into every interaction.   • Provide support to schools to support children and families struggling with emerging mental health needs 
  • Provide mentoring and supervision for junior staff 
  • Advocate for the rights of the child and young person
  • Service schools through an assertive outreach model negotiated and reviewed with the Department of Education
  • Provide a range of services including but not limited to secondary consultations, professional development, assessment and systemic treatment

Your Contribution: 

  • You will have a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience 
  • Therapy trained
  • Passionate and driven to preserve the good mental health of people 
  • Experience in providing  mental health services in a high demand environment 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Understanding of practical application of the Code of Ethics and Mental Health Act (2014)
Applicants must have relevant qualifications, APRA registration (except for social work – AASW member eligibility applicable) and extensive experience in mental health.
