  • Two Part Time Positions available, 1 12 month Fixed Term & 1 Ongoing, 64 hours per fortnight

The Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED) is a state-wide program of Victoria’s specialist mental health system, managed by NorthWestern Mental Health, part of Melbourne Health. CEED’s long term work and commitment is to support the building of a high quality, comprehensive, stepped system of care for eating disorders in Victoria.

CEED uses a service development framework and utilises clinical case consultation, workforce capability development, clinical resource development, and service development strategies to work with, and support Victoria’s specialist mental health service, acute health, and Tier 1 and 2 services to improve care responses for people experiencing eating disorders and their families.


A Job To Be Proud Of:

  • Provide primary and secondary case consultation services with a high level of clinical expertise in the assessment, treatment and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with eating disorders 
  • Establish and provide group consultations with clinicians across Victoria
  • Plan and co-ordinate education and training programs for Victorian health clinicians
  • Lead / co-facilitate core CEED trainings (including FBT-AN, CBT-E, CBT-GSH, SSCM)
  • Facilitate and participate in the development, implentation and monitoring in eating disorders policy, procedures and planning across Victoria

Selection Criteria Essential: At least 5 years' clinical experience in the mental health field
Essential: Significant experience in provision of evidence-based treatment for children / adolescent, or adults experiencing eating disorders
Essential: Experience in provision of education and training for health professionals
Essential: Experience in providing clinical case consultation, clinical supervision or mentoring of health professionals
Essential: Comprehensive knowledge of and professional development in eating disorders
Essential: Experience in the delivery of evidence base treatment and management of eating disorders
Essential: Knowledge of contemporary concepts, frameworks and policy in mental health practice (eg. recovery-oriented practice).
Essential: Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Essential: Well-developed written, verbal and presentation skills
Essential: Basic computer skills
Essential: Effective time management and project management skills
Essential: Enjoyment of, and a proven ability to work as part of a collaborative team
Essential: Ability to work with a high level of personal accountability
Essential: A current Victorian driver's licence and ability and willingness to travel to Victorian rural areas
