Registered Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse

  • A critical member of the multi-disciplinary team within the IWAMHS CCU
  • Work in the leafy suburb of Travancore, in a 20 bed facility for residential rehabilitation
  • Permanent Full Time and Permanent Part Time positions are available.
  • This role requires shift work across a 24 hour rotating roster.

  • You will help us achieve the holistic support of consumers who require a high level of clinical support and intensive rehabilitation in order to manage their mental health and wellbeing.
  • In return, you will be supported to experience a therapeutic relationship with our long term consumers, develop professionally and contribute to a valuable and rewarding area of mental health service delivery.

About You:

  • Work as an integral part of the clinical team delivering evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care 
  • Work with the multidisciplinary team in order to support the provision of complex clinical care for consumers experiencing psychiatric illness-specifically in the assessment and treatment of consumers with complex mental health needs.
  • Promote a friendly, respectful and collaborative environment within the CCU, across the Area Mental Health Service and with all stakeholders.

Selection Criteria Essential: Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and AHPRA
Essential: Medication endorsement.
Essential: Demonstrates the ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
Essential: Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills.
Essential: Demonstrated experience in a mental health setting.
Desirable: Experience in a CCU or a mental health rehabilitation setting will be highly valued.
