Business and Performance Analyst

 (Midwest Area Mental Health Service)

  • Dynamic and influential role as a Business and Performance Analyst.
  • Make important contribution to a number of projects at the Midwest Area Mental Health Service and supporting our current clinical programs
  • Based at  Harvester Clinic in Sunshine and is required to travel between MWAMHS sites
  • 0.5 EFT for 12 months until 30th June 2022

We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.  


Your new team


The Mid West Area Mental Health Service (MWAMHS) is committed to working with consumers during their recovery by offering holistic and evidence-based (EB) treatment, which is inclusive of family/carers and provided by clinicians with well-developed skills. Staff employed within the MWAMHS are expected to identify EB practice competencies and to use these in their clinical work


Our service strives to create the best possible learning opportunities available to complement and support both emerging and existing expertise. Staff are required to actively participate in their own practice development by engaging in available learning opportunities within the service, as well as being committed to sharing their knowledge with their colleagues. In the next 36 months, MWAMHS will be delivering new services to the community with two, 26-bed psychiatric inpatient unit and a 12-bed Women's Prevention and Recovery Centre which has the ability to accommodate young dependents.


Your success in this role, will be in your ability to:

  • Provide operational support / financial advice to the new projects and current clinical services as directed by Area Manager
  • Provide advice to MWAMHS Leadership Team about matters relating to operational budget, development of budgets and business polans
  • Assist program managers and Area Manager in business case planning, grant applications and provide detailed financial analysis and to identify risks

Your Contribution

  • Demonstrated experience in project management skills including planning and coordination
  • Experience in managing complex dynamic initiatives and planning activities
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and assist with financial compliance
  • Assist with financial reporting and to support MWAMHS with strategic planning
  • Provide detailed analysis and modelling of historical financial and performance data
