Applications for these positions are coordinated by the 
Post Graduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) - please see their website for eligibility criteria. The surgical stream is for those applicants seeking further experience in a range of surgical specialities prior to applying for a surgical college training program and is open to PGY2 & PGY3. Application Requirements:

  • Updated resume including photo.

  • Evidence you are fully compliant in your current health service mandatory training, examples are: 

 - Fire Training (or equivalent)

 - Hand Hygiene (or equivalent)

 - Manual Handling (or equivalent)

 - Asepctic non-touch technique (or equivalent)


It is anticipated that some health services' mandatory training may be titled differently to above or that they may not require all of the above listed training as mandatory, please provide evidence that you have completed ALL of your current health service's mandatory training even if it is not the same as above.

 

Only one HMO stream can be applied for, applications for multiple streams (HMO 2/3 General, Surgical & BPT1) will not be considered. Applications submitted for multiple streams may result in all applications being voided.

This does not apply to positions that are seperate to the PMCV HMO Match.

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory police records check. Successful applicants will be required to provide a record of Immune Status to vaccine preventable diseases or evidence of an immunisation assessment prior to commencement.

Essential: Have you completed all of your current hospital’s mandatory training requirements ie Fire Training, Hand Hygiene, Manual Handling?

Essential: How many rotations have you completed since intern training? (PGY3+ only)
Essential: Have you required additional supports to complete any rotations? If yes, please explain.
