NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH) provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne. A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (North West, Mid West, Inner West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – ORYGEN Youth Health. NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health.
Exciting opportunity for Psychiatric Nurses | North West Area Mental Health Service | Coburg Community Team | Full Time / Fixed Term position
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and adaptable Registered Psychiatric Nurse to work with the NWAMHS - Coburg Community Mental Health Team. We are seeking a clinician with at least 2 years of clinical experience that has an interest in utilising their exceptional skills across the range of mental health assessments and treatments using a Recovery focus of care.
The Coburg Community Mental Health Team is an integral program of North West Area Mental Health service. We provide services for adults whom are experiencing mental illness who require either short, medium or longer term support or care. Consumers reside in the City of Moreland & Hume.
The successful applicant will have a sound working knowledge of the recovery framework and Mental Health Act 2014 along with other relevant legislations. The successful applicant will be able to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, monitoring and treatment to an allocated case load of clients. As a Key Clinician you will also undertake duties such as New Patient Assessments, “Duty” and some rostered work with our brief intervention component providing Acute assessments .
