About the Role:
Sunshine Aged Persons Mental Health Unit is a 20 bed acute assessment Unit for people over the age of 65years with a Mental Health diagnosis.
The Unit has a cohesive multi disciplinary focus and you will join an experienced team of profesionals.
The ANUM is a senior nurse clinician who can be accountable for the management of the unit on a shift by shift basis and also deputise for the Nurse Unit Manager when taking leave. You will be expected to liase with consumers, families and other team members. A qualification in Mental Health is required as is two years post registration experience in a mental health setting.
The ANUM will be personally responsible for his/her professional growth and development, consolidation of nursing knowledge and application of theory to practice to achieve current practices and competencies of a Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
