Graduate Certificate of Nursing Practice (Renal Stream)

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals interested in completing the Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Renal stream) course to join the Royal Melbourne Hospital Renal specialty team. This is a Part Time - Fixed Term position, working 64 hours per fortnight (flexible commencement dates, hours flexible).

The Royal Melbourne Hospital renal service is the largest comprehensive renal service in Victoria and is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to further your specialty nursing skills through Post Graduate study. We provide an integrated renal disease, dialysis and transplant service with a strong commitment to improvement through research and innovation.  We are the largest Victorian transplanting service. 

New in 2022, the Royal Melbourne Hospital Nursing Education Department are endorsing Post Graduate study for the Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Renal) with the University of Tasmania (UTAS). 

Applications are now open for the Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Renal) specialisation conducted in collaboration with our affiliate university, University of Tasmania. This course is open to Registered Nurses who have successfully completed a Graduate Nurse Program.

About the Program: 

• The course consists of four (4) subjects specific to the area of study undertaken.
• All four subjects are delivered online and supplemented by a variety of teaching modalities, including lectures, tutorials and clinical hurdles.
• Post-graduate students are supported by Clinical Nurse Educators and clinical staff.
• Program length is 12 months

Applications must include the following: 

• Cover letter addressed to the Post Graduate Nursing Program Coordinator stating the program being applied for
• Curriculum Vitae
• Most recent academic transcript results
• Contact details of two (2) senior clinical referees (i.e. NUM, ANUM, CNE)
• All applications will be assessed on letter of application, curriculum vitae, academic record, clinical experience, references and interview.
