WARD 2 EAST  - Cardiology

2 East consists of a pre-admission clinic for cardiology and cardio-thoracic patients. Also in the unit is a separate cardiology day ward (10 beds), where elective patients come for a variety of procedures including EPS/RFA, angiogram, pacemaker replacement, ICD, PPM, PCI TOE & TOE/DCR as well as Ajamaline and Adrenaline challenges. There is a strong collaborative approach across the Cardiac Service Division with a team based approach to nursing.

To be successful in this role:

- Hold post graduate qualifications in cardiac care or equivalent

- Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team

- Demonstrated ability to manage a team

- Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care

- Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills

- High motivation and willingness to learn

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- High level of reliability and professional conduct
