  • Support a busy outpatients and admissions area

Pre- admission Clinic is located on 3 East and is a busy outpatients clinic and admissions area. As a preadmission clerk you are responsible for the clerical and receptionist duties required to manage the flow of both patients and information through this area.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, efficient and responsible person to assist and guide the patients through the preadmission and admission process in a busy, high pressured environment.


This key support position is responsible for providing professional and caring customer focussed service, often as the first point of contact and communication for patients, their families and visitors.


Knowledge and profiency of iPM is required and familaraity with clinical patient information systems is desirable. 


The successful candidate will have:


  • Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone manner
  • Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills
  • Computer skills, including accurate keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Professional presentation and demeanour
  • Demonstrated team player with an ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritise
  • Motivation and commitment to ongoing development
