The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Business Development team. This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position, working 80 hours per fortnight (including ADO), based at Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Your Opportunity:
- Encourage effective collaborative relationships with internal Melbourne Health customers
- Build and foster effective relationships with strategic partners (public & private sectors) to build networks and relationships in relation to business development and commercialisation
- Build relationships internally within MH to enhance commercialisation opportunities across Melbourne Health
- Develop and foster strategic relationships with key business development and commercialisation stakeholders from the public and private sectors
- Assist the Director of Business Development and Office for Research in negotiations with key stakeholders in relation to research contracts, business development and commercialisation initiatives
About You:
- Interested in driving innovation strategy development and assisting with the day-to-day running of Business Development unit.
- Good understanding of next generation of start-ups in the health sector, adding quality mentors/partners
- Excellent written skills
- experience in commercialization of digital health, sales, biomedical research, research contract preparation and grant writing
