Life with Us:

Mc Lellan House is a 32-bed residential aged care facility providing care for people over the age of 65 years with a mental illness and associated ageing issues.. This is a maternity leave position until December 2019 with possible scope to extend. The position requires availability for morning and afternoon shifts 7 days/week.

We are seeking an enthusiastic nurse to join our team in the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager.


The successful applicant will have demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to take accountability for managing the requirements of the shift.

 

This is an opportunity to take a lead role in the implementation of the new Aged Care Quality Standards and optimise Aged Care Funding requirements.

 


Your Contribution:

  • Registration as a registered nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
  • An awareness of legislation pertinent to the provision of mental health services and in particular the Age Care Act and Mental Health Act
  • Working knowledge of Aged Care Funding Instrument
  • Working knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
