The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. The Opportunity:


We are looking for passionate and dedicated suitably qualified Scientist (Grade 1) to work in our Chemical Pathology Department on a part time fixed term, working 38 hours per fortnight (till 9 Aug 2019). Applicants must be willing to participate in our rotational shift roster, which could see them working on any of our 24/7 rostered shifts.

You must be available to participate in out-of-hours shifts in a structured roster that includes regular evening, nights and weekends.

  • Performing a variety of biochemical analyses using both automated and manual methods.
  • Participating in our rotational 24/7 shift roster 
  • Undertaking specimen registration and pre-analytic processing.
  • Undertaking other related duties as required. 

About You:

  • The successful applicant will have completed a Bachelor’s degree in science or applied science.
  • Experience in a tertiary hospital biochemistry laboratory is beneficial.
