  • Part Time Fixed Term position until February 2020

  • Senior Nursing Role providing support to clinical areas overnight

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

 

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Nightlife Nursing team. This is a part time fixed term position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus.

 

Your Opportunity:

 

As a Nightlife Nurse, you will work as part of the Access and Demand team providing:

  • support to ward nurses during periods of peak demand
  • backfill when ward nurses escort patients to imaging
  • nursing specific tasks when requested

About You:

 

If you enjoy a fast paced work environment and if you possess outstanding interpersonal, communication and time management skills, then this might be the role for you.

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Minimum of 4 years acute post registration experience 
  • Prefer working night shifts 
  • Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care 
  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills 
  • High level of reliability and professional conduct 
  • Are familiar with medical and surgical wards at RMH City Campus
