The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

Your Opportunity:

BioGrid Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Project Officer with relevant project management and data analysis experience, a strong work ethic and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

The successful applicant will work closely with BioGrid’s Project and Data Services Manager to support:

  • Data analysis and reporting for researchers
  • Maintenance of relevant ethical approvals
  • Processing of data access applications
  • Development and maintenance of customised datasets
  • Demonstration of the BioGrid platform capability to researchers
  • Liaison with clinicians, researchers and industry to define project requirements
  • Project management to ensure timely project delivery

About You:  

  • Experience working with health data, in particular, hospital data generated for reporting i.e. VAED, VEMD, VINAH
  • Data analysis experience in a health/biomedical science setting, including ability to query relational databases with working knowledge of routine statistical tests
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and data management skills 
  • Qualifications in Science, Health Information Management or equivalent will be highly regarded
